Nymphaea ‘Attraction’

  • Blooming Time: Day
  • Flower Description: 6 to 8″ flowers; inner petals are geep garnet reg, outer petals are lighter. Cup-like shape becomes stellate. Slight fragrance.
  • Leaf Description: 10 – 12″ Green leaves ; new leaves are light bronze, spread of 4′-5′. 
  • Comments: Free flowering; inner petals are subject to burning. Vigorous, tolerates partial shape; will grow in water up to 3′ deep. tolerates summer heat better than most red water lilies; medium to large water gardens 
  • Nymphaea ‘Charlene Strawn’

    • Blooming Time: Day
    • Flower Description: 6 to 7″ rich yellow center with lighter yellow outer petals; stellate shaped flowers; inner petals are dark pinkish red; very sweet fragrant
    • Leaf Description: 8 to 9″ dark green leaves; new leaves have small purple specks and blotches; spread of 3 to 5′; produces an abundance of leaves – may hide flowers
    • Comments: Free flowering; good cut flower; use in medium and large water gardens; tolerates partial shade

    • Leaf Description: Spread of 4 to 6 feet; mottled leaves
    • Comments: Medium to large water gardens; needs full sun; free flowering

    • Blooming Time: Day
    • Flower Description: 5 to 6″ orange flowers; changeable color: yellow apricot (first day) to gold orange (second day) to deep orange with yellow tips (third day); cup-shaped changing to stellate; good fragrance; flowers held above water surface
    • Leaf Description: 12″ green leaves; new leaves are bronzy with some purple spots; spread of 4 to 5′
    • Comments: Free flowering; subject to crown rot; use in medium to large water gardens

    Nymphaea ‘Conqueror’

    • Blooming Time: Day
    • Flower Description: 7 to 8″ flower with deep red inner petals and white outer petals that become pink; inner deep red petals may burn with hot temperatures; slightly fragrant
    • Leaf Description: 10″ deep green leaves; new leaves are slightly bronzed; spread of 5′
    • Comments: Very free flowering; use in medium to large water gardens
